National Overseas Scholarship SC 2023-24 Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this scholarship program, the applicant must have the following eligibility criteria

  • Age must be no more than 35 (thirty-five) years old as of April 1st of the selection year. 
  • Family income is less than Rs. 8,00,000/-( Eight lahks) per annum.
  • Willing to pursue Master’s and Ph.D.-level courses abroad.
  • Have at least 60% in their most recent degree.
  • More than two children of the same parents or guardians will not be eligible for the scholarship programme.

The awardees will claim reimbursement of airfare from their respective Indian Mission abroad after joining the University and providing a joining report from the university.

How to Apply for the National Overseas Scholarship SC 2023-24

Candidates who are eligible can apply for this scholarship by following the steps outlined below

  • The eligible candidates need to visit the official website of the National Overseas Scholarship Scheme to register themselves.
  • Then, click the “Register” button, and the student registration form will appear.
  • Eligible candidates must correctly fill out the following information
    • First, select the category from the drop-down menu (Scheduled Castes/ Denotified Nomadic/Semi-Nomadic Tribes/Landless Agriculture Labour and Traditional Artisans)
    • Enter your first name as mentioned in your class 10th certificate.
    • Middle Name (if any, otherwise leave it blank)
    • Full Name (Recheck with your class 10th certificate)
    • A Valid ten-digit mobile number.
    • Valid Email Id ( For future correspondence)
    • Date Of Birth (As Per Class 10th certificate)
    • Mention the State of 10th Board
    • Must mention the 10th Board Certificate Number & Year of Passing.
    • Applicants must upload the 10th certificate in PDF format( not more than 3MB size)
    • Enter your correct Adhaar Number
    • Create a password that is at least 8 characters long and a combination of numeric, alphabetic, and one special character.
    • Retype the password, solve the captcha, and click on the submit button.
  • After successful registration, enter personal information, current address, foreign university or institute details, etc.
  • Fill in the necessary qualifying degree or examination.
  • Enter your employment details, visa application information, etc.
  • Provide the necessary information about your family’s income. For the applicant applying between February 15, 2022, and March 1, 2023, the financial year is 2021-22 and For the applicant applying during the second round, the financial year is 2022–2023.
  • Submit the online application after uploading all required documents.
